Listening sessions to focus on parish finances

Saturday, March 07, 2020 - Updated: 2:44 pm

Bishop David Zubik’s spring 2020 listening sessions will discuss the relationship between parish and diocesan finances, including the Parish Share Program, how parishes fund schools, the diocesan insurance program and real estate transactions. Specific financial realities of individual parishes will not be discussed.

The public is welcome to attend. Parish business managers, school principals and members of parish finance councils are particularly encouraged to participate.

Bishop Zubik, accompanied by some of his senior staff, will hold four meetings, one in each vicariate:

• Monday, March 16 — St. Athanasius, 7 Chalfonte Ave., West View.

• Wednesday, March 18 — St. Valentine, 2710 Ohio St., Bethel Park.

• Monday, March 23 — St. Margaret Mary, 1 Parish Place, Moon Township.

• Thursday, March 26 – St. Michael the Archangel, 432 Center Ave., Butler.

Each session will begin with prayer and reflection at 7 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m.
